  Having debuted in 2005 under SM Entertainment with 13 members as the largest boy band in Korea, Super Junior has been enjoying huge popularity ever since. They managed to captivate KPop-Lovers, all over the world, not only with their great achievement as a group but also with their individual talents, activities and sub-groups such as Super Junior M. 

  Again, this year, Super Junior delivered a superb performance, despite personal issues of some members, which led to a comeback with only 10 of the boys.
  However, Super Junior showed that they’re unshakeable by topping local and overseas music charts with their hits “Bonamana” & “No Other” and receiving lots of awards in 2010.

  Fans praised this success, choosing Super Junior as favorite, best and most promising boyband in the 2010 GoKpop Music Awards.

  The past year a member of Super Junior surprised everyone with his amazing vocals. 

  Yesung, who was born on August 24, 1984, has been part of Super Junior since the beginning of the band when they were called Super Junior 5. He became one of the four lead vocalists because of his amazing skills. He is also part of Super Junior-Happy and K.R.Y., which are sub units of the group. In a band formed by thirteen members it is always difficult to appreciate the personalities and charms of each one of them, however Yesung has been able to prove his great talent.

  Last year he released the solo song, ‘It Has To Be You’, as part of Cinderella’s Sister OST. The track became a great hit making the name of Yesung shine in bright lights.

  Yesung’s future will only bring more surprises and satisfactions to his fans so let’s wait and see him become a shining star. Congratulations to Yesung for winning as the best male solo.

  Kim Taeyeon was born in Jeonju on 9th March 1989. In 2004 she was discovered by SM Entertainment by winning the awards of “Best Singer” and the “Grand Award” at SME’s annual contest. Three years later she debuted with the popular girl group, Girls’ Generation, as their leader. Besides that, she was featured in musicals and also recorded solo singles. 

  She has great vocal skills and is praised for her talent frequently. For that reason fans voted her as the “Best Female Solo” at the GoKpop Music Awards 2010. Congratulations!

  Super Junior
  Released on May 24th, 2010, Super Junior’s song “Victory Korea” was made to support South Korea in the FIFA 2010 World Cup games. Astonishingly, this song had achieved to be one of the most popular World Cup song in a poll conducted by ESPN Soccernet. Stealing 92.3% of the votes with a total of 31,503 voters, this song then became Korea’s most classic World Cup song of all time.

  Girls’ Generation is a nine-member girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2007. 

  The group has released two full albums, two mini-albums, and various singles. Their 2009 hit single “Gee” holds the record for being the longest running #1 song on KBS’s Music Bank, having held the #1 chart ranking for 9 consecutive weeks.

  The music video “Oh!” proved to be super popular, ranking as the number one most viewed YouTube video in Korea by the end of 2010. It was also #1 in Hong Kong and made the top 10 in both the Taiwan and Japan rankings.

  It is no wonder with their musical abilities, and their super cute looks, they’ve conquered many hearts to be chosen as best girlband of 2010. Congratulations with all the achievements Girls’!

Even though this label was facing so much controversies, nobody can deny that this company is good in what they are doing. SME have the ability to promote their artists succesfully, understands the art of choosing the right members, and only deliver the best with their tough training course. This Korean publisher is probably coming with much more surprises for all the Kpop fans in the world.

  Kim Hee-Chul is a Korean pop singer, actor, presenter, disc jockey and a member of the popular 13-member, boy band Super Junior, who was born in July 10, 1983. Heechul who was now named as “Prince of Twitter” was recently ranked as 2nd most followed Korean artist on twitter. 

  In 2010 Heechul became a trending topic for more than a week on twitter. Everytime he posted something, the Kpop fans all over the world, will talk about it until it becomes a trending topic. He really IS using his social media charismas like no other. Congratulations!

  JYJ was formed by Junsu, Yoochun, and Jaejoong in early 2010 following their hiatus from TVXQ. Their debut Japanese EP ‘The…’ reached no. 1 in the Oricon charts in September 2010, and their English album ‘The Beginning’ also reached the top spot in Korea a month later. 

  This was followed by a world tour in October and November; and despite visa issues prior their trip to the United States, the group managed to continue their tour and perform to their American fans for free. Congratulations as new band of the year!

  Sandara Park was born on November 12, 1986. In 1995 she moved to the Philippines with her family. There she was part of a talent survival show where she obtained the second place. She worked as an actress, singer and model there but at the end decided to go back to Korea and start a new life with her family.It was on 2009 that YG announced the debut of a new girl band. With the release of their first single ‘Fire’ the success of 2NE1 was inevitable. Dara also presented her own solo song featuring CL as part of beer campaign. There, people were able to see her charms and fell madly in love with the girl who just wanted a ‘Kiss’.

  With their first full length album, Dara’s cuteness overloaded the performances of ‘Go Away’, and her beautiful voice enchanted everyone with the song ‘Hurt’.

  A beautiful girl with a unique style, great personality and bright future, is the girlfriend every boy wants to have. Congratulations Dara for being the ‘most-want-to-be girlfriend’.
